REGISTRATION OVERVIEW

We are pleased to once again host the Carolinas Planned Giving Conference at the Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, NC.

Registration for the conference is handled directly through the Kanuga Conference Center.  The staff and Board of Directors of the NC and SC Councils are happy to answer any of your conference or registration questions, but we do not manage the reservations.  Cancellations and refunds, if necessary, are also handled directly through Kanuga.

For those new to the Kanuga experience, there are two options for lodging: 1.) The Inn, which is similar to standard hotel rooms, and 2.) the guest cottages.  The Inn sells out quickly so we encourage you to register early to ensure the accommodations you seek are available.  Most cottages have multiple rooms with en suite bathrooms and the rooms can accommodate double occupancy if needed.  If you want to room with a specific individual and/or couple, please indicate this during the registration process; otherwise, you will be booked as an individual.  Every consideration will be given to meet your requests, although we cannot make guarantees.  There is an option to register as a commuter if you prefer to stay at offsite at a hotel.  Additional information about lodging is available in CONFERENCE FEES.

All meals are included in your registration fee, even if you are registered as a commuter.  Meal times are established for each day on the conference schedule and all attendees eat at the same appointed time in the dining hall.  Kanuga is a self-contained conference center and there are no additional dining options available onsite.

The atmosphere and attire for the conference is casual.  We want you to come relaxed and be comfortable so your mind can focus on learning.  Registration will be open Monday, April 29 from 4:00-6:00pm and again Tuesday, April 30 from 8:00-11:30am.

In addition to the exceptional educational programs offered throughout the conference, networking opportunities abound to help you connect with old friends or create new ones and share your experiences and knowledge with others in your field.  To maximize these very important social interactions, there will be an opening reception hosted by Kanuga on Monday from 5:00-6:00pm and Rocky’s Porch will be held from 7:00-11:00pm.  On Tuesday both NC and SC Councils welcome you to social hour from 5:00-6:00pm with a cocktail party from 7:30-11:00pm following dinner.

We hope you allow a little time during your visit to enjoy the tranquil settings offered at Kanuga.  Past attendees have enjoyed quiet time and reflection gazing at the lake as they enjoy the rocking chairs or sit at the Pavilion, while others enjoy a trip around the lake in a canoe.
