Have you considered incorporating DEI principles into your organization's planned giving program, but you're not sure where to start? This presentation will review the literature about why communities of color are underrepresented in planned giving and will propose a long-term strategy for how the planned giving sector can become more inclusive and welcoming for all. We will also review the results of a new survey examining what non-profits are doing to incorporate DEI into their planned giving programs. You will leave with a deeper understanding of the issues involved, and concrete action items to help you build a more inclusive planned giving program.
